Chapter 2

"Sir? Aapne woh documents dekh liye?" Inspector Shinde asked as he arranged the files on Vikram's table.

Vikram shook his head, his fingers running across the words on the paper.

"Sir woh parso jo aurat aayi thi uske khoye huwe bete ki report likhane. Uska bete ka thikana samne aaya hai sir. Lekin sir....-" Shinde dragged at last, not knowing how to continue more. Vikram look upto Shinde with a raised brow.

"Baat khatam karo Shinde" Vikram spoke, urging him to complete. Shinde scratched his neck hesitantly.

"Sir woh hamara area ka MLA haina Rajesh Kulkarni, uska chota beta Madhav Kulkarni. Usne forcefully kidnap karke rakha hai Gagan ko, and reason ko humne suspect kiya hai ki woh Gagan ko apne drugs supply ke business pe shamil karna chahata hai. Proofs hai sir, bohot strong. Lekin..-" before Shinde could continue more Vikram cut him off with a chuckle.

He rested his jaw over his palm lazily and look up to Shinde with a look of disbelief.

"Shinde, ek bis (20) saal ke bache se dar rahe ho tum? Woh kon hai? Uski pehechan hi kya hai?" Vikram asked, waiting for an answer. Shinde felt his throat blocked in nervousness. This man's aura was so damn intimidating that he couldn't speak a word.

"W-woh sir. Rajesh Kulkarni, MLA ka beta hai-"

"MLA toh nahi haina?" Vikram raised his brow at Shinde making him immediately shook his head.

"Agar woh MLA bhi hota toh bhi gand jala deta sale ki" with that Vikram bang shut the file and threw it over a pile laying.

He stood up from his chair and walked out, followed by Shinde behind him.

"Gari nikalo Shinde. Ek baar Madhav Kulkarni ko darshan deke aate hai" he commanded, hearing a loud yes from behind. Shinde practically ran towards Vikram's jeep and started the engine, turning it towards Vikram.

Vikram hopped inside, putting on his sunglasses. His uniform shining proudly over him. He leaned his head out, letting the cold, fresh air hit over his face. The weather seems quite good today.

"Shinde" Vikram called, earning a quick yes from the other side.

"Yeh Nashik ka weather hamesha se hi itna aacha tha ki aaj hi asa hai?" Shinde chuckled hearing the question. He took a pause before answering, as his hands clutch the steering.

"Aaj kafi aacha hai sir baki din se comparing. Lagta hai kuch aacha hone wala hai" Vikram smirked hearing this. He stretched his hand and cracked few bones before speaking.

"Haan, kya pata aaj kisi ka encounter bhi hojaye" he mindlessly tapped on the side of his thigh. Shinde immediately whipped his head towards him hearing his sentence.

"S-sir, aap toh bole the bas usse milne ja rahe hai" he stuttered, a bit scared of the sudden decision. As he wasn't really prepared for it. His palm started getting sweaty. Vikram chuckled hearing him.

"Itna kyu darte ho Shinde. Just chill, jayenge, bolenge usko ki yeh sab mat karo aur sab ko chordo. Agar nahi mana toh ura denge, usmein kya hai" he shrugged as if it was nothing. Shinde gulped hearing him.

"P-par sir. Woh toh nahi manega na" he hesitated before saying. Vikram smirked hearing him.

"Woh toh meri galti thodi hai. Woh apne maut ko khud bula raha hai. Mein toh bas bolunga ki mat karo" He muttered lazily, fixing his hair over the mirror.

Suddenly the jeep stopped in the middle of the road, between the traffic, filled with lots of  people on their vehicles. Vikram sighed at it. Damn the traffic.

"Shinde dekh toh kya huwa hai" He gestured with his hand to go and see. Shinde nodded and climbed down the jeep, he looked over with his arched ankle and came back.

"Sir, woh koi bhuri aurat hai. Bich road pe gir gayi thi, cross nahi kar pa rahi. Isliye jam ho raha hai" He reported to Vikram.

Vikram hearing this let out a tsked in return. He clutched his forehead and rubbed it slowly.

"Shinde, asa chize dekhte ho toh bas dekhna nahi haath bhi dena chahiye" he shook his head and climb down the jeep, straightening his shirt.

"Par sir-" before Shinde could continue, Vikram cut him off by showing his palm to him, causing the other one to zip his mouth.

Vikram walked closer to see the matter, going through narrow places, in between the traffic. With difficulty he managed to inched closer towards the scene only to pause in the middle.

The woman wasn't alone, two other young girls were there. And damn he would lie if he says his breathe didn't hitch. The one holding the woman, helping her to cross, she was beyond beautiful.

Her beauty was something very unexplainable, something only poets could give justice to. Vikram was even afraid to blink, thinking what if she vanishes? His whole body loosen up, he didn't know what was he even doing. It seemed like he suddenly lost all control over himself.

She had dark black hair, that reached upto the middle of her back. Her skin was pale white, clear and smooth. Shining proudly under the sun. Her eyes, were small, as if with no eyelid. She looked mongoloid. She was mongoloid.

One thing was sure, she wasn't really from here. She belonged from someother place. Her race was quite different from the people here.

Vikram saw as she laughed after saying something to the old lady, her eyes disappeared as she laughed. A small inaudible chuckle left from him. How damn cute it was.

Suddenly Vikram had this strong inner urge to see her eyes, he wanted her to look at him too, acknowledge him. He wanted her damn attention badly. His heartbeat thudded against his chest, running wildly.

He kept his hand over his chest and pat it slowly, as if trying to calm it down. Suddenly the vehicles started to run around, blocking his view. Yet Vikram never left his eyes from her. He continued watching her.

"Sir?" Shinde approached him with his jeep. Vikram silenced him immediately with his palm. He watched until she went, he saw as she waved her hand happily towards the lady with a big ass smile.

As she went completely out of view, Vikram suddenly realised where he was, who he was. He groaned silently and face palmed himself, looking up. What the hell was he even doing?? If that girl ever noticed him, she would be fucking creeped out to see a grown man staring at her without moving his eyes away even for a second.

And cherry on the top she looks like a fucking college going student. Also that id card hung over her neck says it more. Vikram rubbed his forehead with a sigh, has he become pedophile at this stage?

He removed his hand and looked to his left to see Shinde looking at him with a puzzled look. Sighing to himself, he hopped in the jeep and looked out, zoning out for a moment.

"Sir, kuch huwa hai kya? Aap khoye khoye lag rahe ho" Shinde asked, glancing towards him frequently. Vikram shook his head in return.

"Kuch nahi" he muttered still looking outside.

The only thing in his mind was. Anyhow he had to throw the girl out of his mind now. He can't be getting distracted by a random college going girl. And moreover, he can't drool over a fucking MINOR!!

🦋🦋🦋-----------

In an empty warehouse, up hung the flickering tube light, surrounded by rusty walls. A chair sits in the center with Gagan, tied up and bruised. His eyes were swollen, fear and shame in them. He panted in pain, his whole body aching from the beatings he faced. His breathing was hollow, as if he was having hard time doing it.

Infront of him was Madhav Kulkarni, well-dressed and oozing arrogance, standing near a dusty table, playing with a lighter.

He smirked looking at Gagan and lit up his ciggerate.

"Aur chuze? Aab kya kehta hai? Manega meri baat ya abhi bhi baaz nahi aaya?" Madhav snarled arrogantly, leaning foward to Gagan.

Gagan although scared and beaten till pain, looked upto Madhav and glared at him with all his might. He gritted his teeth in absolute anger.

"Mar jawunga lekin tere jaise jahil gawar ke saath kam nahi karunga" and that was all it took to receive numerous blows from Madhav's men.

Gagan groaned in pain, screaming as he spitted blood from his mouth. He coughed hysterically, throwing up blood in the process.

Madhav looked at the scene and tsked in a mocking way.

"Bechara, sidhi tarike se baat maan jata toh yeh sab thodi dekhna parta" he shook his head as if he was in sorrow. Yet nochantly continued blowing his cigar.

Suddenly heavy boots echo. All attention went to the main door, as it opened with two figures entering in. Sunlight blazed outside, making their face not visible for secs.

Until they inched forward, standing proudly over the land. The young boys beating up Gagan panicked seeing police infront of him. One of them started shaking in nervousness.

"B-bhau, police" he whispered in fear. To which Madhav snarled to him in annoyance.

"Aye! Mera aadmi hoke police se darta hai? Police hamare liye kutto jaisi hai, aayenge, talwe chatenge, chale jayenge" He smirked proudly. Facing Vikram now, who took off his sunglasses lazily and sighed.

"Shinde" he called, making the latter answer quickly in return.

"Yeh aajkal ke bache mein baro ke liye koi respect hi nahi hai" he asked dramatically, making Shinde nod hesitantly.

"Huh! Respect woh bhi police ke liye? Tu jaanta hai mein kon hoon? Rajesh Kulkarni ka chota beta hoon mein. Meine agar papa ko teri complain kardi na. Toh teri yeh wardi utarne mein ek din bhi nahi lagega" Madhav laughed in mockery.

Vikram didn't gave him the pleasure of seeing him angry. He calmly folded his glasses and looked at him.

"Dekh Madhav, mujhe baat idhar udhar uljhana pasand nahi. Sidha point pe baat karte hai. Tu Gagan aur baki ladko ko chorde. Yeh drugs supply ka business chor, aur khud ko police ke hawale karde" Vikram spoke, his voice deep and thick, resonating in the empty warehouse.

Madhav chuckled at that, laughing as if he just heard a joke.

"Majak kar rahe ho? Mein? Madhav Kulkarni. Aur police station? Jajh nahi raha. Meine aajtak kabhi police station pe kadam nahi rakha, na rakhunga. Tu aaj ka aaya huwa kutta, mujhe dhamka raha hai?" Madhav smirked at him, his eyes deadly dangerous. And he wasn't just done here.

"Tum yeh police log mere aur papa ke samne kuch nahi ho. Kutte ki tarah ho, kutte ki tarah. Papa ke ek command pe tumlog  kahi ke nahi rahoge. Papa-" THUD!

Silence.

The tension could slice steel. Everyone was quiet, no one dared to speak a word. Each and everyone had their eyes opened wide, yet no one spoke a word. Their eyes fixed on only a certain someone. Madhav.

Who was lying on the cold floor without blinking his eyes, a big bullet wound on his forehead. He was dead. Vikram silenced him. All eyes were on him, yet no one dared to go near his body.

Vikram tsked and and turned to Shinde who was equally shock as the others.

"Shinde, majak ura raha tha mera. Sala kabse papa papa kar raha tha. Mein toh anath hoon, i can't understand the feeling or love of parents. Mera sentiment hurt kardiya tha usne" he closed his eyes and shook his head, as if he didn't just killed someone just now.

Turning to the boys, he spoke.

"Shinde, jawo. Untie Gagan. And take one of the boys to the place where the other boys are kept" he commanded. Making Shinde nod in return. The other boys shook in fear, not having the courage to even breathe loudly.

Vikram played with his gun deliberately infront of them. He then looked at them and smirked.

"Yeh gun dekh rahe ho? Jyada hosiyari ki toh udhar hi thok dunga. Mujhe marne ka reason nahi chahiye" he said, making them scare more than already how much they were.

With a slight chuckle he turned and walked out of the warehouse. Ahh, he just loved playing with the criminals. Nashik was really gonna be fun for him.
