Chapter 61

"Yaaaaaaaaaa!!!!" An excited feminine scream resonated the Baga beach. And it was non other than Thabal.

She ran on the sand, with naked feet. Giggling and laughing as she hopped and ran around. She wore a white floral top, beige half pants, and a hat to cover her face from the harsh sunlight.

It was the 2nd day on Goa already. They reached at evening 5:55 pm and entered their booked villa. As they were tired and worn out from the journey, they decided to spend the 1st day on the villa resting and eating.

And today as the sun began to dip, they made their way to the shore for the afternoon.

Behind her followed Vikram with a sage green shirt and a loose cream pants. A pair of her sandals were in his hands. He walked calmly and in his normal pace, his eyes constantly on her. He had an emotionless yet a soft look on his face. His eyes softened everytime he saw her laughing, sometimes turning to her and grinning, taking away his breath completely.

The beach air did justice to her hairs. They were flying smoothly, some of the strands falling on her face. Thabal was like a live wire of pure, unadulterated joy.

The beach was mildly crowded. Few tourists and locals gathered around. Playing with the waves and sunbathing under the sunlight. On the background, in a big loudspeaker Harleys in Hawaii was being played.

And it felt like it was the perfect song to the moment.

"Vikram! Jaldi aao! Look at this shell!" she shouted over the roar of the waves, crouching down to pick up a small, shimmering spiral.

Vikram slowed his pace even more, a ghost of a smile tugging at the corners of his lips. He looked at her, with eyes full of love. This girl, a not so simple girl from Manipur. Managed to bind him to her way. She became the center of his world without even realising.

"Dheere, Chand! Ret mein phisal jaogi. You haven't healed properly. Dard hoga" he called out, his voice a deep tone, that easily cut through the sound of the wind. He reached her just as a stray wave rushed up the shore, the foamy white water swirling around their ankles.

Thabal squealed, jumping back and accidentally bumping into his hard chest. Vikram's free arm immediately snaked around her waist, steadying her.

"Easy, the ocean isn't going anywhere" he chuckled, the vibration of his chest rumbling against her back.

Thabal turned in his arms, her face flushed pink from the sun and the running. She looked up at him, her hat slightly tilted, and the sheer happiness in her eyes made Vikram's protective instincts flare up. He wanted to freeze this moment and lived in it forever.

"Hehe" she grinned and showed him the shell she picked up. Vikram looked at it briefly before his eyes returned back to her face.

"Hmm aacha hai" he reached his hand to her face and removed the strand of hair which was flying on her cheek repeatedly.

"Come, let's take a selfie" she squeaked and took out her phone. Vikram let out a soft huff, he wasn't exactly the type to pose for the camera, but looking at Thabal's beaming face, he couldn't possibly say no.

Thabal had already switched her camera to the front facing mode. She leaned back against his chest, her small frame perfectly framed by his broad shoulders. Vikram snaked his hand on her waist again, pulling her flush against him so she wouldn't lose her balance in the shifting sand.

And then click. The first shot caught her mid laugh, her eyes crinkled and her hair a wild, beautiful mess across her face. Vikram wasn't looking at the camera, he was looking down at her, a rare, unguarded tenderness visible in the curve of his mouth.

"Aaree! Vikram, look at the screen na!" she scolded playfully, nudging him with her elbow. Vikram chuckled, finally fixing his gaze on the lens. He simply rested his chin near her temple, his expression turning into a calm one, yet a sense of dangerous aura surrounded him.

This time, it was perfect. The bright afternoon sun, painted a glow over both of them, the turquoise water of Baga sparkling in the background.

"Perfect!" Thabal whispered, staring at the screen. She looked at the photo, then up at the man holding her.

"You look so handsome. Log dekhenge toh sochenge hero hai koi" she grinned, a light blush coating her cheeks. Vikram couldn't help but laugh lightly at her words. He pinched her soft cheeks and pulled it.

"Chalo na khelte hai pani ke saath" she urged him with a pout. Vikram sighed and looked at her.

"Baby, you aren't healed yet. If you run around, it will pain you" he softly made her understand. Thabal whined at it.

"Umggg! Please na. See I am all okay. Jyada dard nahi hai i swear. Thik hogayi mein" she requested, giving her biggest puppy eyes. Vikram looked at her for a second and sighed. Thabal squealed in delight, knowing well she have won.

Vikram subconsciously touched her stomach, where her bruised was present. He caressed it gently. Thabal looked away and watched the sea. Her eyes widened slightly as if she had seen something very odd.

"Vikram! Dekho!" she yelled, pointing at a distance. The moment Vikram looked at the direction she pointed, Thabal cupped her hands and sent a massive spray of saltwater right into his chest.

Vikram flinched slightly at the sudden cold contact on his body. The water dripped from his green shirt, soaking the fabric and clinging to his muscles. He wiped a stray drop from his eye, his expression unreadable for exactly three seconds.

"Achaa you want war?" he muttered, a predatory smirk slowly spreading across his face.

"Aaah! I am going!" Thabal shrieked, turning to run, her small and gentle feet paddled against the wet sand.

Vikram laughed and chased her, slowing his steps on purpose. Thabal was running as fast as her small feet could carry her, her laughter echoing over the sound of the crashing waves. Every few seconds, she glance back, seeing Vikram's tall, imposing figure steadily closing the gap despite his slow pace.

"Eeeee! I was just joking!" she shrieked, her voice full of mischief. She tried hard to run faster as he was just inches away from catching her.

"Too late for jokes now, Chand!" Vikram called out, his eyes glinting with a rare, playful fire.

Suddenly Thabal tripped over a small sand mound, losing her balance, and with a loud splash, she landed right in the shallow water. But she didn't fall alone. As she went down, she grabbed Vikram's hand who was right behind her, pulling him right down with her.

"Ahhh" Thabal shrieked and with a massive thud splash, they both landed in the shallow surf. The water exploded around them, soaking his cream pants completely and drenching her floral top. For a second, there was total silence between them.

They both stared at each other, completely bewildered. And before anyone of them could speak, a sound of interrupted. When they looked at the direction, Thabal widened her eyes as she saw the waves running towards them.

Before she could process anything, Vikram suddenly hugged her, completely engulfing her small figure with his broad body.

And then the heavy, cold wave engulfed them. Thabal could feel the water, immediately gasping for air, but it went immediately as soon as it came. They were completely drenched now, head to toe. Her head was still securely protected by his arms hugging around her body.

Thabal pulled back and looked at him. Vikram parted her wet hair and wiped the droplets of water from her face. They sat on the sand in silence, before Thabal started to giggle. It started as a tiny snicker and turned into a full blown belly laugh.

Seeing her so happy, Vikram couldn't help but smile. He caressed her cheek lovingly. God, save this moment and replay it always in her life. This laugh of hers, he would do anything to save it.

As her laugh died down slowly, she smiled and fixed his wet, messy hair.

"Itne pyaare lag rahe ho aap" she giggled, making him smile wider. Damn! She was stealing his line.

"Ahh! I love it here. Just the two of us" she grinned and hugged him. Vikram without any hesitation hugged her back, pulling her closer to him.

Together, they looked at the beautiful blue sea infront of them. Vikram felt his world being protected as he hugged her small body. He hugged her tighter subconsciously. He still couldn't believe it. How did he even get her? How in the world? She was so perfect, so beautiful and then him.

Vikram wasn't a dashing, good looking prince. He was an average looking Indian man who wasn't very rich. He belongs to the upper middle class section, where he was capable of affording everything he wanted. He couldn't understand how did she even fell for him when he was so average looking.

Nevertheless, he was now down bad for her. He couldn't bear her going away from him. He didn't even realised how he fell hard for her. She was everything he needed now. He wanted her to be the happiest, to be the most successful person, to laugh and smile daily.

Thabal pulled back and looked up at him, smiling cheekily. Vikram felt his heart melting away at her innocent view. He leaned down and placed a kiss on her forehead.

Thabal smiled and closed her eyes for a few seconds. She felt lucky. Truly lucky to get a man like him. She didn't know what good deeds did she ever did to get him. She sighed softly at her thought.

She placed her hand on his jaw and caressed his stubbled jaw, she felt his rough skin poking on her soft hand. Her handsome man. She smiled gently and kissed his lips.

She couldn't understand how did a girl like her, with no beauty standards or pretty features got such a beautiful man like him. His face was worth worshiping, his features were too good looking to just ignore. She wish to watch him all day, each second.

"Kya hua? Kidhar kho gayi?" He tapped on her cheek gently and frown slightly, seeing him in a lost state. Thabal widened her eyes slightly but then relaxed and smiled.

"Kuch nahi. Bas aapko dekh rahi hoon. Jitna dekhu utna maan hi nahi bharta. You are so good looking, your face is a blessing to my eyes" she sighed dreamily and grin. Vikram froze for a second, hearing her words. He couldn't believe her words.

Here he was putting himself down and then looked at her. Talking about him, as if she haven't seen anyone more good looking than him. He couldn't control the redness spreading over his ears. He cleared his throat, feeling a little embarrassed and looked away.

No one had made him feel the way like she did. No one has complimented him before. Or maybe they did, but he went deaf to their words. But her, how could he even ignore her words. He would never dare to.

"Come let's get up. Jyada der pani pe rahogi toh thand lag jayegi" he said and stood up. He forwarded his hand to her. Thabal looked at him for a second before smiling. She grabbed his hand and stood up.

Both of them walked away from the shore. Around them, children ran and played, their little giggles were blowing up the beach. Songs blasted from speakers nearby. Thabal glanced at him and smiled, she inched closer and held his fingers tenderly.

Vikram immediately smiled to himself at her act. He clasped his hand with hers, holding it tightly yet with a soft hold. He let her towards the dry sand, under the shade of a large palm tree. He spread out a small mat he had brought along.

"Sit here, Chand. Don't move. I will bring us something to drink" he commanded softly, his voice still carrying that protective edge. Thabal nodded, tucking her wet hair behind her ear.

Vikram looked at her for a moment and leaned down to place a kiss on her forehead. He caressed her cheek slightly before walking away. Thabal smiled slightly and rubbed her forehead, the place where he kissed. A shy smile covered her face.

She watched until he disappeared from her view. Even in a soaked shirt, his stride was powerful, his shoulders broad and steady. How could one look so handsome by just walking normally?

She sighed and looked away. She gazed at her front and watched the beautiful blue sea. She suddenly took out her phone and as expected, her phone was all wet. She quickly wiped it with her palm and tried to dry it.

After a few minutes she clicked a snap of the beautiful view and turned the front camera, taking few selfies of her own. As she sat there, a local woman carrying a large basket of fresh flowers approached her. The scent hit Thabal immediately, it was sweet and deeply familiar.

It was Jasmine. She recognised it immediately. She couldn't mistake the scent. The woman stopped in front of her and placed the basket full of flowers in front of her.

"Madam, will you like flowers? It will look beautiful on your hair. It is very nice and fresh. It is very cheap. Only 5 rupees for 3 4 flowers madam" the woman said. Thabal smiled, finding the efforts of the woman trying to speak in english really cute.

Her english was broken, but her determination was strong. Thabal looked at the flowers and thought for a few seconds. Her eyes lit up slightly as she thought of something.

"Jii, mein 50 lena chahungi. Aap de dijiye kisi packet pe" she said and took out her phone cover to take out the money. The woman widened her eyes in surprise, hearing Thabal speak hindi.

Although her hindi accent wasn't smooth, her words were clear and proper.

"Aapko hindi aati hai?" The woman asked in amusement. Thabal nodded with a smile as she handed the woman, her money.

"Ji haan. Mein India se hi hoon. Koi videshi nahi hoon mein" she laughed lightly. The woman smiled in embarrassment.

"Nahi woh maaf karna agar aapko bura laga. Aap itni sundar hai, mujhe laga aap kahi bahar se aayi hai. Idhar toh jyadatar videsh se hi log aate hai" the woman apologised shyly. Thabal smiled and shook her head.

"Koi baat nahi. Thank you, fhul ke liye" she said and took the wrapped banana leaf where the flowers were gathered.

As she left, Thabal sat on the mat, cross- legged. She opened the packed banana leaf and watched as the flowers stood in display. She picked up two and started binding their small stems with each other. She continued it with the others too. Forming a long line.

Her eyes were focused on it. She pressed her lips together in concentration. She was in her own world.

Just then Vikram returned, carrying two chilled fruit drinks. A plastic bag hung on his wrist. He saw her with little white flowers on her lap from a distance. A small smile formed on his lips as he watched her concentrate so deeply.

He neared her and sat next to her, placing the drinks and packet on the mat.

"Sorry baby. I am late. The line was so long, der hogayi mera time aate- aate" he apologized and turned to her. Thabal nodded, still working on the flowers.

"Haan it's okay" she mumbled and stopped tying the stems. She then connected the beginning and the ending flower and bind them together, forming a garland.

She picked it up and grinned widely. She looked at Vikram and giggled.

"See, cute haina?" She nudged him. Vikram smiled and hummed.

"Haan lekin tum iska karogi kya. Kisliye banaya yeh sab" he asked her, genuinely curious. Thabal grinned in return.

"Rukho baad pe bataungi. Ek aur banana hai. Woh khatam hone do" she said and kept the garland gently on the mat. She picked up the remaining flowers and continued her work.

Vikram was confused but didn't ask further. He waited patiently for her to finish. He leaned back slightly and watched her. Sunlight fell upon her beautiful face, making her look angelic ever. Her wet hair strands were falling on her cheeks.

He extended his arm and tucked it gently behind her ear.

"Aap khalo" Thabal turned to looked at him. Vikam smiled and shook his head.

"It's fine. Tum karlo yeh. Fhir saath pe khayenge" he assured her. Thabal smiled and nodded . She went back to her work again.

Almost 10 minutes later, she finally finished. She sighed in content and picked both the garlands in a delicate hold. She smiled seeing it and turned to him, who was still looking at her.

"Come closer and bow a little" she commanded. Vikam raised his brow in question but nevertheless did it. And as he bowed his head slightly, Thabal, stood up on her knees. With a gentle movement, she hung both the garlands around Vikram's neck. The white petals stood out beautifully against his dark, damp shirt.

Vikram blinked slightly, confused. He looked down at the flowers, then up at her, completely confused.

"Chand? What are you doing?" He asked her, only to receive an excited grin.

"Now take one off and mujhe pehenao" she instructed, bouncing slightly in anticipation. Vikram didn't understand why, but he could never refuse any wishes she demands.

He reached up, his large fingers carefully lifting one of the fragrant garlands from his own neck. He leaned forward, the scent of jasmine filling the space between them, and slowly draped the circle of flowers over her head.

As the garland settled on her shoulders, Thabal couldn't help but smile shyly, her cheeks reddening with blush. She looked up at him slowly to see him looking at her with a slight smile yet a confused gaze.

"Kya hua tumhe suddenly. Abhi toh itna uchal rahi thi khushi se. Abhi sharma kyu rahi ho" he asked, half laughing. Thabal chuckled at his remark.

"Wellllll, aapko pata hai humne abhi kya kiya?" She asked him with a giggle.

"Kya kiya? Ek dusre ko flowers pehenaye, wahi na" he shrugged, tilting his head in question. Thabal smiled and tched, shaking her head.

"So, we are now kinda married" she blushed furiously, trying to control her smile. Vikram looked more confused right now. Was she talking about varmala? But what happened wasn't the same as how it happens at wedding, isn't it?

"Matlab?" He asked, puzzled completely.

"Hamare culture pe na. Bride apne wedding ka jo garland hota hai khud banati hai fhir pehle groom ko pehenati hai. Aur fhir groom apne mein se ek nikalke bride ko pehenati hai" she informed looking at him, a soft look in her eyes.

"You know bachpan pe mere mohalle ke bache bohot khelte the. Yeh shadi ka khel and all. Mujhe bhi khelna tha par koi mujhe bulata nahi tha. Hence, mera sapna sapna hi reh gaya. But I did it with you finally" she laughed lightly. Vikram watched her quitely, his eyes staring at her keenly.

"It's good you didn't play with any of them. I don't want any fuckers marrying you even if it was a play" he rasped out, his jaw clenching as jealously took over him. He couldn't imagine any other guy marrying his Thabal.

Thabal giggled at that. She pinched his cheeks in return.

"Kitne cute ho aap" she chuckled and looked at him with a smile.

"So we are husband and wife now?" He asked, his tone lacing something with a dangerous aura. It caught her off guard.

"Huh! Matlab officialy nahi. Koi witness bhi nahi haina idhar pe. It's just that, i wanted to fulfil my wish that's why. Ahh! This is childish. Aesa kuch-" she rambled on.

"Shh! Just say that you are my wife and you are all mine. Say it" he urged her, inching closer to her. Their noses were almost touching with each other.

Thabal couldn't utter anything right away, the close proximity was so strong, it left her speechless. She gulped and looked away from his piercing gaze.

"Say it baby" he urged her, his voice deep and husky.

"I-i am your wife. And i am only yours" she murmured slowly. Before she could process anything, the distance between their lips was closed. He lunged forward, his hand sliding into her hair to tilt her head back as his mouth crashed against hers.

Thabal was taken aback by the sudden move. But then she felt him sucking on her lower lip hungrily. He sucked on it, licking and coating her lips with his saliva. Thabal felt lost in the moment, she closed her eyes and started losing herself. She started to move her own lips with his.

"Umhhh" she moaned slightly.

Vikram was fucking turned on. Just the mere thought of them marrying and her being his wife was too exciting for him. He felt his dick hardening immediately as soon as he heard her say it, in her small, innocent voice.

Oh! He just wanted to thrust his member inside her warm pussy. He wanted to fill her up in ways, she would never have imagined. He groaned at the thought itself.

His hand started moving and roaming around her body. And then it landed on her soft breast. He felt the soft dough like skin against his hand. It was so soft, it just went in whenever he would squeeze it.

Thabal gasped as he pinched her nipple above her cloth. Taking it as a chance, he put his tongue in. Their tongues clashed against each other in a dirty manner. Their saliva got exchanged with each other.

The friction of his stubble against her sensitive skin sent shivers down her spine. And it made her come to her senses, Thabal immediately pushed him and pulled away from the kiss.

She gasped for air heavily. Vikram took heavy breaths too, chasing for oxygen. He watched her with hazy eyes. He placed his hand on the back of her neck, ready to pull her into another kiss. But she pushed on his chest, with all her might.

"Nahi. Log dekhenge Vikram" she whispered yelled, her cheeks blushing furiously. Vikram groaned and raked his hand in his hairs and threw his head back in frustration.

He looked back at her, desire swimming in his eyes.

"I want to fuck you so bad baby. My dick is throbbing for you. Mera bas chalta na, issi pedh ke piche kar deta. I wouldn't have stopped until i fuck you in every inch of this place" he grumbled hoarsely. Thabal looked like a tomato right now.

His words were making her lower down ache in need. She shyly turned away and stood up.

"Have some filter on your mouth when we are in public" she muttered and walked away.

Vikram let out a low, dark chuckle that vibrated through the humid beach air. He watched her retreat, her small frame moving quickly across the sand, the jasmine garland still swaying around her neck. Even from behind, he could see the tips of her ears were a bright, burning crimson.

He stood up and took long, predatory strides closing the gap between them effortlessly. In just a few seconds, he was behind her. He reached her in three steps, his large hand snaking around her waist from behind and pulling her back against his hard chest.

"Ahh" she yelped at the sudden movement.

"Gotchu" he whispered near her ear huskily, his breath hot against her skin.

"Vikram, please! People are looking at us!" Thabal squealed, trying to wiggle out of his grip, but he was like a mountain of solid muscle.

"Umhm. But i wanna eat you right now" he teased, nipping lightly at her earlobe.

"Ah! Chup karo aap!" she retorted, her face bright red with shame. Vikram laughed, a rich, genuine sound. He spun her around, his hands resting possessively on her hips.

At this Thabal couldn't hide the giggle that escaped her lips. She snaked her arms on his shoulder and looked at him.

"Give me a kiss or else i won't leave you soon" he playfully demanded. Thabal sighed in defeat and placed a peck on his cheek. Vikram smiled and signalled on his lips.

Thabal rolled her eyes playfully, yet placed her lips on his lips and quickly pulled away shyly. Vikram chuckled at it.

"I love you my wife" he whispered nudging his nose against hers.

"Hmm" she hummed back shyly. Vikram chuckled and leaned his forehead against hers.

The atmosphere, which had been lovely and lively suddenly shifted. It wasn't a change in the wind or the temperature, but Vikram's instinct . He parted away from her and looked around with his sharp, piercing gaze.

There were tourist and locals enjoying the beach. Few were on the dry sand. Some were packing up. Everything felt normal and okay. But Vikram couldn't just ignore the suspicious motion he felt. He felt eyes on them. Eyes which weren't just curious but trained.

"Vikram? Kya hua?" Thabal whispered, sensing the sudden tension in his muscles. Vikram forced a small, reassuring smile, though his eyes didn't stop moving. He reached up and cupped her face, his thumbs stroking her cheekbones.

"Kuch nahi, Chand. Do you wanna see the sunset together?" he murmured, his voice returning to its calm and cool one.

Thabal smiled and nodded in happiness.

"But aapko kuch hua hai kya?" She asked in concern. Vikram smiled at it. He placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Kuch nahi hua. Come let's sit there" he said and took her to a place where the perfect sunset could be seen. As they walked together, he shielded her body with his own as he guided her toward the dry area. His hand stayed firmly on the small of her back.

He scanned the line of palm trees and the dark shadows behind the nearby shacks. Nothing. No movement, no glint of a lens, no retreating figure. Yet something didn't feel right.

Vikram had a strong feeling that someone has been watching them. But for the meantime, he decided to ignore all these.
